Samantha Mohr

Mohr was a UGA student. She took part in her first pageant following being suggested by a friend. She was awarded Miss Columbus 1985. With this win, Mohr qualified for the Miss Georgia pageant which was scheduled for June 1985. Mohr claimed the crown on Saturday, June 22, 1985. She earned more than $3,500 in cash scholarships as well as other prize money from the state pageant. The activities she took part in as Miss Georgia included public appearances at places throughout Georgia. Mohr was Georgia's representative at the Miss America 1986 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 15, 1985. Mohr was able to determine that Susan Akin would win Miss America with the help of computer simulation. His odds of success were 22:1. Mohr did not make the Top 10 finalist to win the national crown. Mohr's tenure as Miss Georgia lasted until she named her successor, Marlesa Ball, Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28 on June 28, 1986. Samantha Samantha Samantha
