Yael Yael, the Australian resident of New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA degree. Yael, despite her young years, has had the privilege of learning from one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael's professional career is thriving and thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was thrilled to discover her new home when Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with great acclaim, moved to the place she now calls New York City. Yael created The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery promotes creative creativity, writing and artistic endeavors from it's Bushwick studio.
